Getting started

Your gel manicure without the guesswork.

How it works

Light meets chemistry.

Gel polish stays liquid until you give it a reason to set. That reason is light.

SUNUV lamps emit a specific wavelength of UV LED that activates photo-initiators in the polish, triggering a chemical reaction that hardens the gel into a glass-like finish in seconds.

Light meets chemistry.

Right wavelength × Right power × Right time = A flawless cure

Yes. Every lamp ships with an instruction manual and is designed to be plug-in-and-go. Beginners typically start with SUN9C, SUN1, or SUN2C, or with an all-in-one kit (SUN1 or SUN2C) so they have everything needed for a first manicure in one box.

We typically recommend 30 seconds to cure the base coat then 60-90 seconds for curing color gel and the topcoat. Builder gels and harder formulations may require longer cure times. Use your lamp's timer presets.

Yes. Every SUNUV lamp has an infrared motion sensor that starts the cure when a hand is inserted and stops when it's removed. However, if you select one of the preset timers (typically 30s, 60s, and 99s, or a low-heat mode, depending on the model), the lamp will run the full timer duration and then turn off automatically.

Yes. Use the longer timer preset (60s) and cure in thin layers for the best results with builder and hard gels.

Lightly buff the top coat, soak in acetone for 10–15 minutes, then gently push the softened gel away. Never force or peel it.
